Special care for special needs kids

Wild About Smiles has unique experience and expertise in providing dental care to those with special needs — those with physical, emotional, behavioral or developmental differences. These differences may include cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome or autism. We have been working with these special patients for many years and our experience has made us experts in providing both preventive and restorative care.

A patient and compassionate approach

In our experience, individuals with special needs may benefit from more frequent visits to the dentist to acclimate them slowly to the dental experience. We can accommodate these needs.

Often, special needs patients requiring restorative dental work will benefit from sedation or in-hospital anesthesia for their safety and comfort. Having a dental procedure with a dentist that is known and familiar to a child from regular visits can be much less fear-inducing. Dr. Francis has the skill and knowledge to provide both dental sedation and in-hospital dentistry under general anesthesia to his pediatric and special needs patients. We care for all children with love and compassion and work to make their dental experience safe, non-threatening and as pain-free as possible. Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your child.
